Chamblee Senior Melds Sports and Journalism

Victoria Syphoe is a senior here at Chamblee High School with big aspirations. She is captain of the varsity girls basketball team, is a member of Women of Distinction, and plans on joining Interact club this year. She is also taking journalism as an elective, a class which, she hopes, will help her decide between two college majors: creative writing and journalism.

Syphoe can definitely see herself as a journalist in the future. She likes the idea of writing about sports, but she also thinks there are less broad topics that she could talk about.

“There are lots of little things, here at Chamblee and in the world, that don’t get enough attention,” said Syphoe. “I would bring attention to these things.”
