From April 2008:

Chamblee’s champion cross country runner Emily Reese recently represented the United States at the Junior World Cross Country Championships in Edinburgh, Scotland.
She won 30th place out of all the runners in the competition, completing the race in 21 minutes and 24 seconds. This time was only a minute and 23 seconds longer than that of the winner. There were around 80 nations represented in Edinburgh, with each country sending their top six runners. The American team, as a whole, won sixth place.
“It was a lot of fun,” said Reese. “I guess sometimes it seemed kind of unreal, just being there and knowing that you’re racing for your country.”
Next year, Reese will be running for Harvard University. She hopes to eventually compete in either the 2012 or 2016 Olympic Games. The 2012 games will be held in London, England.
