Pinterest is an app that combines both entertainment and inspiration to bring forth anything that you might enjoy. Although you are able to socialize within the app, I prefer not to. I enjoy the simplicity and detailing of this app. It is like a visual search engine. If I am interested in DIY crafts, Pinterest is my go-to. Pinterest shows me videos and also instructions on how to do it; however, it is all visual. If I want to look for nail or hair inspo, or how to draw certain crafts, Pinterest has it. There is usually a brief description of what the pin is about.
I have used this app for about five years and I have accumulated 35 boards of pins, meaning I have grouped pins in 35 different sections. These boards range from memes to hairstyles. It all began when I searched for Snoopy. I wanted to draw him for a math project, and naturally, I went on Google. I went to images and found the perfect image to use. Which then led me to Pinterest. Not knowing much, I simply made an account because why not?, I thought. I was then slowly absorbed into a whole different platform that consisted of only visuals. From that moment, I began to go on the app to see what was interesting.
From this app, I was inspired to do several different activities. If I wanted to paint, I’d simply go on there and browse different painting inspirations. I discovered various tools and techniques. I had always been a fan of making crafts, so knowing that this app had videos to teach me, I took advantage of that. Whenever I want to make a craft, whether that is a Christmas card, a birthday card, or a bracelet, I hop on Pinterest.
Something that I love about this app is that whatever I search up or am interested in on my feed is filtered to that. There are no unnecessary pins popping up on my feed or things that I wish to not see. This app adapts to whatever you choose to view and I love that. I also find a lot of other uncategorized images on this app. If I want Pokemon characters or anime characters, it’s all there. I have boards specifically for low-quality images and images that I would consider as cute or adorable to look at.
If you are looking for a different app to use, I would definitely recommend Pinterest.
