Back in October, I attended an assembly that Charlie Jabaley, a recent inductee into the Chamblee High School Hall of Fame, put on. In it, Jabaley spoke about the great successes of his life and attributed many to the fact that he believed his wildest dreams would come true. His story and enthusiasm encouraged me to set goals and future aspirations that I didn’t just work toward but believed would definitely come true. My three manifestations were: to get a PSAT score that would qualify me for National Merit, to get cast as the lead in the school musical, and one more thing that I would rather not be published online. I told myself that all of these things would happen before the end of the year and that if one happened, the rest would follow. And guess what? They all came true, exactly how I said they would! I’m not completely sure whether it was my positivity and hopefulness that they would happen or my manifesting that made them come true; however, I am incredibly grateful nevertheless.
So how does one manifest?
Trusting the Process
No matter if you feel down and discouraged, trusting that things will work out in the end is so important to achieving your goals. If you have temporary setbacks, tell yourself that your manifestations will happen nevertheless, and keep going! It might surprise you how things end up turning out your way, so expect positive outcomes rather than negative ones.
Taking action
Although a large portion of manifesting is letting go and trusting the process, it is also imperative that you also put in effort to achieve your desired goals. While manifesting involves a sense of luck and miracle, you have to get the ball rolling whether your goals are personal, academic, etc. This means putting in the work to study, practice, or whatever other type of action will result in your goal being achieved. Manifesting allows these actions to feel more concrete and necessary with the vision that working towards your manifestation will make it come true.
Visualizing
A key aspect of manifesting is imagining what would happen and how you would feel if the things that you are manifesting happened. In your mind, tell yourself that these visions are truly your future and have a clear, detailed view of what will happen. While it might not exactly happen the way that you imagine, it’s important to have a clear vision of what you are working towards and why.
2024 was one of my best years so far and I do attribute a portion of that to my newfound practice of manifesting. Because of my positive and hopeful attitude, I have been granted new experiences, opportunities, and advancements both in my academics and in my personal life. I’m so excited to see what 2025 has in store for me, especially now that I’ve started manifesting! I hope that this article encourages you to try manifesting and taking the step to achieve your goals!
