- My Scarf
My friend, Stella Barton, got me a huge scarf for Christmas last year. This scarf has been with me without fail every time I leave my house since I unwrapped it. If you know me, you know I am always cold, so I love to have a blanket whenever I can. Stella, being the observant friend she is, took this information and decided to buy me a more socially appropriate option than a blanket. This scarf is beautiful – it has a red, blue, and green gingham pattern, and I don’t think I’ve ever received more compliments on an article of clothing than this cozy scarf.

2. The Day it Snowed
Back in January of 2025, it actually snowed a substantial amount in Georgia. Although I love summer and tend to despise cold weather, nothing made me more happy than waking up one January morning to see a blanket of white snow had covered my backyard. My sisters and I were able to take the day off from school and we spent our time sledding, building snowmen, and drinking gallons of hot chocolate – activities usually unprecedented in our city.
3. The Pajamas I Bought When I got my Wisdom Teeth Removed
I love food. Therefore, the week I had my wisdom teeth removed was potentially the worst week of my life. I was utterly terrified of getting an infection after the surgery, so I did everything humanly possible to sanitize and properly clean the holes in my mouth, this included refraining from solid foods for about a week until I felt I was healed enough to prevent infection (my mouth still got infected, but that’s not the point). During these dim and bleak seven days, I had few things that brought me joy. One of these things was the pajamas I bought on day four post surgery, when I decided to venture to the local Target. These PJ’s are a royal blue and they are so cozy, even though I merely purchased them to bring me hope during this dark time in my life, I still wear them to this day.
4. The Earth
I took a trip to Banff Canada last summer to see the Canadian Rockies with my family. This was the number one vacation of my life; I didn’t exactly know what to expect but it was even better than I could have imagined. We went on lots of hikes, walked a glacier, and saw plenty of waterfalls. Everything was so vibrant and it felt like the rows of mountains would never end. I had never been much of an outdoorsy person before, but this trip inspired me to try to go outside more and find more opportunities to appreciate the nature around us.
5. Seeing Tate McRae in concert
This past fall, my friend was able to score four tickets to see Tate McRae at the Statefarm Arena. I saw her previous concert at the Chastain Amphitheater, and she killed it. If you don’t know who Tate McRae is, she has been singing and dancing for virtually her whole life. She’s most famous for her song “Greedy,” but she also has most recently released the albums Think Later and So Close to What. I have been to a few concerts, but Tate McRae is definitely one of the best concerts I have been to; she puts on such a great performance. Whether you like her music or not, her concert would still be one worth seeing.
